These pants deliberately express the form of an inflatable costume in a deflated state. They reconstruct the silhouette of a hippo costume that has decayed, deflated, and fallen to the floor. They are a unique three-dimensional piece, with only traces of volume remaining.

The air that asserted its presence when inflated causes the shape to collapse the moment it escapes. Invisible air supports the form, and as it escapes, a stillness is created. Perhaps it wasn't the fabric that created the shape, but the air within it.
