"Air" is always there, yet invisible.
It has no weight, color, or outline, and is usually not even consciously perceived.
The doublet Fall/Winter 2026 collection began by confronting such "invisible air."
Yarn born from CO₂ in the air, bio-based resin made by microorganisms that "eat" greenhouse gases, ink made from carbon derived from exhaust gas.
We encountered materials born from "air" that we usually pay no attention to.
However, air yarn was by no means an easy material to work with.
Heat shrinkage, changes due to processing conditions, and textures that didn't turn out as expected.
I heard that the developers themselves repeatedly questioned whether it could truly be brought to market.
Behind technologies where only results tend to be praised, there are countless failures and trials and errors.
Still, they kept moving forward, believing that "next time it will work." Why go to such lengths?
I think it's because it's "interesting."
What couldn't be done yesterday can be done today. What wasn't understood yesterday is understood today.
There's a landscape that can only be seen beyond that. We want to give shape to that "time that was not given up on."
All the hesitation and detours were a breath (process) leading to the future.
"AIR" is a collection of clothes born from air, born from belief, and connected to a future that has yet to take shape.
